Help Rosy collect records of crab spiders on flowers for her PhD research!
Flower crab spiders (Misumena vatia) love to live in flower verges, which are great for pollinators, natural pest control and as biodiversity buffer zones.
We want to find out how these spiders are contributing to these ecosystem services. Can you help us spy on these camouflaged experts?
In this community science project, we are asking for people to take photos of flower crab spiders on their host flowers and of the ~1 m2 of habitat surrounding them. We are also asking for people to send us flower crab spiders that they find.
Check out our page dedicated to the project for more information!
