Welcome to Spider Spies!

Flower crab spiders (Misumena vatia) love to live in flower verges, which are great for pollinators, biodiversity buffer zones and natural pest control.

We want to find out how these spiders are contributing to these benefits. Can you help us spy on these camouflage experts?

In this community science project, we are asking for people to take photos of flower crab spiders on their host flower and of the ~1 m² of habitat surrounding them. We are also asking for people to send us flower crab spiders that they find. See below for more information on how to help out!
