If you’re in Newcastle over the next week, be sure to check out the Hatton Gallery, Newcastle University’s public art gallery, which is always home to some spectacular and often high-profile art, but is of particular note right now as it’s hosting some of our very own Yiran’s artwork!
Yiran’s work towards her ‘Postbugs’ project, exploring the integration of human and non-human characteristics through the morphologies of insects, is currently displayed as part of the fine arts postgraduate degree show, Alongside work from her colleagues in the fine arts department, Yiran’s work occupies a large area of the gallery, inviting visitors to immerse themselves into the entomological world that Yiran has been crafting! It’s a must for anyone in the area, but only on show for a very limited time!
